The Synagogue Sessions were recorded on June 6th 2013 at the Delft
Synagogue. The songs you'll hear on this cd were recorded live in one take, using the unique natural reverbs of the hall. In a few minor places some complementary overdubs were recorded to enhance the songs.
Faint Lights are:
René Meester - acoustic & electric guitars, piano, mandolin, backing vocals.
John ‘s Gravemade - acoustic guitar, banjo, backing vocals.
Robèrt Gillesse - lead vocals, acoustic guitar, percussion and fake trumpet/flute.
Marc Holtman – accordeon on 3, 7 and 9.
Lennart de Vries – shared vocals on 10.
Kevin Lynch – mandolin on 1 and 4.
Bert Jansch recording "generations" was taken from the "acoustic routes" documentary. Churchbells recording of "de Oude Kerk" made on one rainy friday morning in the city of Delft.
